Tablet Presentation
Each Film Coated Tablet Contains:
Levonorgestrel IP 0.15 mg
Ethinyloestradiol IP 0.03 mg
This composition is effective in preventing the pregnancy and works by inhibiting the release of egg i.e. ovulation during the menstrual cycle.
It is used as conceptive pill or as intra-uterine devices.

About Composition
Levonorgestrel-
Levonorgestrel is the synthetic form of a progesterone which is used as contraceptive pill or in hormonal therapy and as hormone it is released from the intra-uterine devices
It is an emergency contraceptive and indicated for the termination of pregnancy.
Ethinyloestradiol-
Ethinyloestradiol is a synthetic form of oestrogen which decreases endometrial vascularization by decreasing the luteinising hormone.
Mechanism of Action
Levonorgestrel binds to the androgen receptors and inhibits the gonadotropin release hormone from the hypothalamus and thus inhibits ovulation, fertilization and implantation.
Ethinyloestradiol also inhibits gonadotropin releasing hormone and decreases the thickening of the cervical mucus to prevent the travel of sperms

Contraindication
- Contraindicated in people with diabetes
Contraindicated in dyslipidaemia
Precaution
Do not use if bleeding persists for long time.
